the original plan was to go to Oktober fest but we left it a abit late with the organising and we couldnt get booked up (flights & accomodation) so the poor mans option is London

Drink halves, not pints, they never know what a half is so you tend to get more wink

Yes: Get a pint glass, but only ask for halves. Apart from the above, you'll get to taste more beer

I suggest you go early and pace yourself! drink halfs or thirds and try as many strange and interesting beers as you can before your become so wasted you dont care what your drinking! the pork pies there are also very good!

confused The bars at GBBF take cash, the only beer tokens you will see are prizes from some of the games stalls.

London Beer Festival?

Its the Great British Beer Festival! Gah, idiots!

I had 2 of my lifes great moments at the GBBF.

1. Watching Freddy lamp the Aussies around at Edgebasten in 2005.
2. My stag doo in 2007.

Im in London on Sat aswell... smile

As already said, drink halves or thirds, from a pint glass.

On the Saturday it will be absolutely heaving. I always try to go on a weekday, get there at lunch time and leave early evening. When 9-5ers get there it's often 5 deep at the bars and hugely noisy.

Loads of food to choose from, great stuff as well!

I have been the last 4 years but not going this year I don't think due to being disorganised.

I must visit German mmmmm
German beers were good, the Alt beer was very nice. Some great brews there, and lots of eye candy which got prettier as the night wore on.

Will be back there on Friday, just to check it was not a fluke.

I'm going today....been every year for last 15 years or so.
like they said get a pint glass, order halves....food is quite expensive, but nice.

Play the games for a laugh, beer skittles and shut the box are my faves.
normally a half costs about £1.20 ish.

Go on a day with good entertainment ,todays 2 original ELO members so looking forward to that.

And don't get st faced and puke up on the floor.
