Are touring again - 5 dates in December...

Last time I saw them was around 1986 - they were good then but who knows now!

Apparently it's a new line up so it'll be interesting to see how they compare with the mob who toured PiL - album.

I'd doubt Mr Vai will make an appearance to conjure the stunning solo's smile

Cheers

No Wobble. No Levene. Will it be sponsored by a margarine company?

I thought Levene was in and Wobble was out??

Jah Wobble not there is a shame his thumping basslines made PIL what they were to be honest.

Still tempted to go though.

Plus some pretty ambitious ticket prices, thought I'd give it a miss.

Never really followed PIL and had no idea Steve Vai was ever involved with them... just doesn't seem his sort of 'thing' to me. confused

Learn something new every day and all that - we'll have to talk music next time we meet up Mr Capp!

Indeedy - Steve Vai guested on most of the solo's on PiL 'Album/Cassette/Compact Disc' - When I went to see them way back when, the touring guitarist (not Levene but can't remember who it was) undertook some noble attempts to cover them off but as you can imagine fell a touch short (but then most would!)

I never thought Keith Levene deserved the gushing / fawning over his guitar playing --- and I'm sure i read that he said he wouldn't work with JL again.

I would like to see Wobble back in the fold though - pref. playing with Martin Atkins on drums

Levine disappeared after a few solo releases.

I wonder what became of him?

have a look at his webpage - I think he had some fairly serious drug issues but still produces music

Didn't see them first time around, but on that basis not sure I can be bothered this time around - JL doesn't impress me as an individual!
