Hi
I have been offered this bike

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

- as the winning bidder hasn't contacted - do you think its worth £300 as that's what the seller wants? I am suspicious as he's emailed me outside of Ebay and I think the 'zero' winner may have been bidding the bike up. I would pay cash on collection anyway so would check the bike first. Women's specialized go for daft money second hand. He says the wheels are £250 alone?

Any advice?

like anything there are different models in the dolce range. regardless of that, yes its worth £300. the wheels are quite nice, a quick google blitz shows they are worth something in the region of £250....NEW, as they are secondhand and there is no knowledge of use, dings in the rim etc, at a guess they would be worth £125 on the open market if in good condition.

no mention of spec etc so i would guess its the lower end of the dolce range, no seller on ebay is as dumb as they make out!, given sh dolces are not frequent finds, and have a good rep for being comfy female road bikes, £300 is certainly not overpriced...

Picked it up today.

Got it for £250 as there are a couple of fixes needed (front brake lever doesn't work, one of the other cables is starting to shred). Wheels are fine - Xero lite XR1.

New bar tape needed - anyone recommend a brand - the tape thats on (original) I think is very good springiness wise or is there better?

It has 'keo classic' pedals fitted which are a problem for me as I don't have any cleats and have always ridden with normal pedals.

I am pretty sure its the 2006 Dolce:

Still happy for £250.
