Kusadasi turkey
Discussion
Spent quite sometime in Kusadasi back in the past. It's one of the earliest developed -before strict building regulations were enforced- small towns on the Agean coast. Therefore, the architecture is pretty badly affected. There are some quite nice resorts all around, which I believe you'll stay in one.
Shopping indowntown is one of the best in the region due to several big cruise liners visiting each day. Specialities are jewellery and carpets/kilims.
Food, especially the seafood is great. Downtown has a number of bars and clubs which should be relatively quiet this time of the year as the Turkish people mostly go back when the schools open.
Ephesus near by is a must to see. It's one of the best archeological sites anywhere in the world. There is also a claimed Virgin Mary's house on the top of the mountain in the same area which is popular.
I would definately recommend the National Park (Milli Park in Turkish) nearby in Davutlar village for a day trip. It's got the most beautiful beaches (some sand, some pebble) in an area surrounded by pine trees. Overnight stay is not allowed and there are no buildings, so you enjoy the nature to the fullest. You can get a public transportation ride (minibus) from Kusadasi.
Those quick points come to the mind.
Enjoy it.
