From a technical point of view they are not very good pictures, there are guys on the forum that make a living from doing this so maybe search the photography forums for some tips before you start snapping away.

Are you using a point and shoot or a DSLR?

Do you own a car? Or your parents?

If so, it doesn't matter what it is - take some proper shots of it, set up as you wish, showing it off to it's best light.

Take the photos and plan the shoot just as if it were a Lambo LP560, even if its a 1991 1.3 Fiesta.

The photos you have linked to will certainly not encourage anyone to spend their own free time having you take photos.

However, if you take some stunning photos of a snotter of a car, saying "This is what i can do with a snotter, imagine what i could do with your car", people will certainly warm to you.

That's just my advice anyway...

Try the "Beds, Herts and Bucks" forum, Luke has a thread where a lot of owners have donated beautiful cars for simple photos.

You'll also find using correct grammar, punctuation and spelling will help no end here.

Well, depends what the fellow wants I suppose. A nicely done track car, or modified 911 perhaps but if he wants some Max Power type cars then he may be disappointed.

They look a bit um .... boring.

More like snaps to me and surroundings are pretty dull too.

thank you this is realy helping and giving me more ideas

the thing is that for my uni project and i have a deadline and need some photographs

so rather than gettin individual cars and owners should i travel anlon with a cruise or meeting ? to get the shots?

any advice?

the only way i can try these shots is if i have cars to take the photographs and im sure that if i do go along with someone or a cruise some one will say how about this shot or maybe you should try this.

Take a look here also, while they're not car specific, there are some superb photos on there that are worth studying.

http://1x.com/

Nick (above), 4hero, GetCarter, JagD plus many of the other regulars on here produce some bloody good stuff, it's worth having a look at their work for inspiration and ideas.

Technically, while your photos may not be intended to be snaps, unfortunately, that's what they look like. To pick out a few of the more obvious points, the lighting is poor, colour balance is way off and varies dramatically from pic to pic, and the composition could use work too.

Then you need to think about location, while an industrial building isn't a bad place to be, think about how you'd make the most of it, rather than it just looking like the car is randomly plonked in a yard somewhere.

Perhaps not a bad idea, you could go for the 'environmental portrait' type of look, or get in tight on interesting details of the cars and/or owners. You don't necessarily need to get the whole car and owner in the shot, tight crops can be good in their own right.

Ok I was using the nature lighting of the Environment the colour balance that I did changed from orange street light to more normal how should the colour balance be set?
also on the composition how could i change it, to make it more interesting?

ok in a industrial where else due to available lighting?

I would suggest you manually set colour balance for each photo, or at least, for a specific location and lighting. A grey or white card would help.
