The US version of LOM starts tonight at 10pm on FX.

I avoided it when it was on US TV last year as I don't usually like US remakes of classic Brit TV but Ive set the SKY + to record it. A 1970's Gene Hunt in New York played by Harvey Keitel? Must be worth a peek.

Looks like they've done a straight 'transplant' from the UK version - almost identical script, just changed for the U.S. location.

Kietel (sp?) looks abit old IMO for the Gene Hunt character - though the uppercut to Tyler's chest looked energetic enough

Kind of like a parody of our version, not my cup of tea but I guess the US audience will lap it up. TBH if you had never seen the UK version then the US version would be viewable.

My (american) Mrs loved it. I can't say I'm convinced.
