Anyone here raced, or intend racing in this series this year ?

I'm thinking of doing another season in FF1600, and previously competed in the North West series, but thought I might try this one, so would be interested in anyones experience of it.

The Walter Hays Festival was fab cheap racing with David Leslie among others taking part on a cold wet track.

Those little beasts sure do not handle well in the wet.

Looking forward to the next outing for the Formule Ford Kents.

What's the Walter Hayes thing, I've not heard of that ?

Formula Fords are certainly interesting in the wet. It's not so bad if the race starts wet and there is a chance to set the car up properly, but if the race starts dry and then becomes wet it can be difficult. A few years ago (on my second ever race !) at Anglesey it started in glorious sunshine and ended in a thunder storm which was very entertaining. I would guess that less than 50% of the starting grid avoided coming off. I managed to stay on until the second last lap and thought I was in with a good chance of a high placing by being one of the only ones left, but then spun at the end of the pit straight and couldn't restart. Bummer.
