Anyone else watching this HUGE steaming pile of horse manure?
I put it in to record on the Sky+ while I watched that other equine faeces called Benidorm.
The blurb said Campus is from the makers of Green Wing, which I hugely enjoyed.
This though, this should, if the world was a fair place, result in the producers, the director, the entire cast, whoever commisioned it, the writers, hell even the folk who make the tea for all of the above being taken outside and shot. Twice, just to be sure.
I'm sure the conversation must have went something like this:
C4: After the success of Green Wing, we really need you to write another show for us, but we need it really quickly.
Writers: Ok, no problem, make the cheque out payable to cash though eh?
Writers (back in their penthouse flat): Oh s
t, we somehow managed to put together one hit and we are struggling for ideas so how about we just copy the same format as Green Wing (i.e. have some 'wacky' characters) but this time we won't actually have any time to write some funny lines for them so how about we write a character who is basically just David Brent from the office (even with 'comedy' goatee beard) because, hey, that's always funny isn't it?
