Got my new AV amp / speakers today - an absolutely cracking deal from Richer Sounds in Ireland! They're the only franchised RS in the group, and as such, they tend to sell stuff that the other branches don't stock (like MA for example). The only thing they wont ship over are panels.
Denon AVR1910, 4x MA 270HDs, 1x MA 225HD & 1x MA 370HD
Speakers in white lacquer. Works nicely with my existing Sonos setup, and passes the Doris test.
Nothing setup yet. Looking around for a decent PS3 250gb slim deal, along with an all-in-1 (Harmony 900 or TSU9300).
Still completely undecided about which tv to get, so for now my old 42" Viera ED plasma stays. Must say though, I am amazed at how good HD is on an ED panel. I really wasnt expecting it to look this good. From my viewing distance (around 8ft) the picture is bloody good! I think I will definately stick with Plasma - just no idea as to which one to choose. Have decided against the Panny as I've decided that whilst it might be a good set, I just dont like the look. I think the LG and Sammy both have better looking 50" panels available - although if I could find an LX5090 in storage somewhere... Thing is, reading AVForums makes you get paranoid that whatever you choose, the panel you get will have something wrong with it!
