Right chaps.

Im off to my first ever football match tonight, its a champions league game which is a big deal apparently.

Having only ever watched England matches on the telly, is there any advice or things i shouldn't do when i'm in the stands?

Yours Clueless.

Shout for your team when you surrounded by opposition fans.....

I took Mrs WR to Elland road once in 1979....She supports Leeds, I support Man City....We were in the City end and she shouted "Up Leeds"....We nearly got our heads kicked in......biggrin

Stand when everyone else stands, sit when everyone else sits.
Don't should for the wrong team.
Arrange a place for everyone to meet up after the match as you will be split up when everyone leaves.

Keep quiet. By that I mean don't go shouting things because you think it's the right thing to do, it'll only end up like a bad sitcom.

Basically just watch and copy everyone else in a reasonably subtle way. You'll soon get the hang of how people behave.

More specifically, if the person behind you sits down then sit down. All other times stand up until you start getting trouble from the stewards.

Of course it depends where you are. The above advice is for a cop/kop style stand. In a family stand be quiet, don't swear and sit down. In a corporate stand I'm not sure what you do.
