OK this is weird. My 4.5's headlights have started flickering on dipped beam. The problem goes away on main or sidelights (so it can't be an earth problem) but it confuses the hell out of oncoming traffic!

Any ideas?

By the way, for anyone thats interested I now have a source of clear front sidelight lenses.. about £28 the pair. Rather better than the £120 I was quoted by a dealer!

Do your dash lights flicker at the same time. If so it could be the alternator on its way out. Mine went and was replaced by WH warranty.

Thanks Gary - as it turns out it was a typical TVR problem.. the flexible adhesion bonding on the ribbon to loom connector block had failed, which, in non TVR speak, means that the velcro had come unstuck! The connector block is mounted on a PCB behind the instrument binnacle with exposed solder prongs and these were shorting on the steering column where it had fallen down.

Velcro? Sometimes I think the whole b***dy car is held together with velcro!
