Seems he's negotiating a drive in a Frederic Dor Ferrari.

It would be good to see him driving competitively again - he's just too good to be sitting on his ar$e. I remember him being pretty quick in an F1 a few years back. So how about McRea in the GT series? Perhaps behind the wheel of a Typhon? Now that would be fun to watch

the only thing is, McCrae would be driving all over the grass at high speed.

He would probably still win tho...

So does anyone have McRae's email - I doubt he's ever seen a Typhon but once infected with the desire it provokes maybe he will approach the Factory!

Brilliant.
It would be great to see him driving at Le Mans.

The more Brits there are the better chance we got of crossing the line first!

wow... so many different versions of spelling the same word (McRae x3) its unbelieveable!!!

interesting to see him at Le Mans, i'm sure he could cross-disapline quite well... Marc Duez seems to be a fairly competant rally/racing driver...

probably more likely a PR stunt (though in a Prodrive Ferrari he could be in a shout for the GTS class) as a precursor to getting back to his first love...

hmm, i heard that too... and tbh i hope he's not... like i hope hirovenen got the Subaru drive... to give someone else a chance...

unfortuantly Pug seemed to have lost faith in Loix after one round... surely they could give him a few more chances?

as for McRae i hope he does spend a year exploring other ventures (Dakar/Le Mans/BTCC/Superbikes/Ascar etc...) and the WRC realises what (if only in PR terms) they're missing out on and gets him back next year...

mmmm actualy i think i'd like to se colin take on a new challenge and tell the wrc boys to go them selves..

Colin is a driving god an im sure he could be a winner in sportscars and i'd love to see him do it...

He should be top level motorsport i.e. top of Rallying or the only other tops for circuits is F1 an that ain't goona happen. Sportscars is more for fun he should be in a WRC giving Gronholm a run - Loix is too slow - he can play with Ferrari's as and when....IMHO!

Nor apparently did he! His contract wasn't renewed. He's taking a sabbatical, interspersed by individual adventures Paris-Dakkar, Le Mans....etc
