Forza 3 Downforce?

Hey guys,

Any idea on how downforce is calculated is it in direct proportion to speed?

Reason I ask is I am having problems using LMP1 cars. For example my pug is quite happy on one track (cant think of its name but was the demo track from forza 2). However if I drive at Silverstone it understeers, oversteers and wheelspins out of bends.

Is this down to one being a fast track so loads of downforce and the other is lots of tight bends where its mechanical grip (or lack of)

Silverstone has lots of off camber corners, so corner speed has to be a bit lower.
