Help me setup please!
Discussion
I've started my setup with some Mordaunt Short 902's and a Denon 1910 amp.
Next step is setting up and I'm hopeless at it. I don't have the joining plates on the back of the speakers, so I thought i'd bi wire them.
I've only got the two speakers at the mo, so front left and front right.
I guess it's then onto the auto setup with the mic?
If anyone could help me out, that would be brill.

Your meter will measure DC resisitance, which will probably be a little lower than the nominal 4 ohm impedance of most speakers, probably around 3 ohms. If it is much less or very high then the speakers have an issue.
Are you sure you have selected the correct input and have any speaker selection switch set correctly as some amps have an 'A' or 'B' speaker selection/connection?
If the speakers measure OK and you're sure that the amp is selected correctly, listen very closely to the tweeters: can you hear a faint hiss when the amp is on? If so this proves the power amp section is working and the speakers are connected properly. That would then indicate an issue witin the amp's preamp section.
Alternatively have you got a spare pair of speakers you could try?

Telling us how you've connected the speakers to the amp would be helpful!
If by assumption, you're running with both sets of cables in A or B, then that's correct, but if you're running them A and B, with the output correspondingly, then I'll guarantee the amp's not seeing the minimum 12 ohms it says it should on the rear panel.
Obvious test is one set of cables to the HF binding posts and the amp outputting to whichever rear posts are being used for that purpose (A or B).
You should be getting some sound now, assuming you've not had the mute button depressed or the volume turned down.

My speakers didn't come with the joining plates like shown above. I'm currently making them to set the speakers up in a more simple way.
I'll try to work with this first as a basic setup.
I've got a few things hooked up that should make some noise! But most basicly, The radio is built into the player, so that should work if the speakers do!!?
Blu ray player - HDMI.
PS2 - Yellow Red White connections.
Wii - Component and audio.
Squeeze Box - Optical.
Radio - Built into the player.
