Hi all,

I have a PowerPoint presentation that for one reason or another I need to convert into a stand-alone movie - Mpeg or WMV

I know that there are a few tools around on the interweb that claim to do this.... does anyone have any experience of them/recommendations?

Any form of PowerPoint is not an option.... it HAS to be a movie file.

TIA!

I use a great app at work, Camtasia, for this very purpose. http://download.cnet.com/Camtasia-Studio/3000-1363...

Camstudio is a free program that will record the screen.

The full version of Adobe Acrobat will turn a PowerPoint into a nice little flash video type thing that plays through an internet browser or can be embedded in a pdf. Think you can just play it as flash movies too.

This is good news.... we have a full licenced copy of Camtasia in the office! Never thought of simply doing a screen record, I was thinking about some of the apps that simply convert the Powerpoint presentation into an AVI or similar.
