Don't really wish to dirve off the corvette related track, but was curious as to corvette owners' music tastes. What bands are your favourite, guys? Anyone into Dave Matthews, Phish, Widespread Panic, Grateful Dead or Gov't Mule? Great driving music, just need my 'Vette now!

Someone is bound to say that the engine provides a decent enough sound track as it is (lol) ...

One favourite is 'Delirium' by Sarah Mc(sp)lin.

Agree with all - V8 sounds pretty good enough...

But I am pretty partial to Bruce Springsteen, in particular "No Surrender" off Born in the USA...

The second verse, which goes:

"Now young faces grow sad and old and hearts of fire grow cold
We swore blood brothers against the wind
I'm ready to grow young again"

... and I defy anybody listening to that not to put pedal to the metal (and if you have a manual, pop 'er up a gear or two...)

... also - cheesy at is, but good for the heart beat: Meatloaf's Bat out of a Hell...

(right, I'll get my coat )

"Livin' on a prayer" is a good song to accompany driving a Callaway in the wet, so's "Knockin' on heaven's door" !

Isn't it great, Duran Duran are touring again ...

OK, well what about the Cure and Sisters of Mercy?

Goths can drive Vettes too (but only Black ones, of course).

My choice is wide and varied....Metallica at one end of the scale and stuff like Moby at the other end.

Favourite track would have to be One by U2.

Desert Island time...one track only, what's yours?

1. LT5 thru Jeal headers, fully opened Corsa's @ 5 K and above.
2. AC/DC: Thunderstruck, then any other tracks.
3. Van Halen: Eruption then Ain't talkin 'bout love (think that's the title).
3. For the 'odd' mellow moment Dire Straits: Brothers in arms.
In that order.

The CD changer in the Vette makes CD-Rs sound like scratchy old vinyl records so I stick with genuine factory CDs. Anyone else find this in C5?
Current changer content includes,

1. Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane
2. Kosheen - Kokopelli
...recent quality additions.

3. Audioslave
4. Jane's Addiction - Strays
...these two rock 1000% better than The Darkness!

5. Charlatans - Between 10th and 11th
6. Stereo MCs - Connected
...couple of classics.

And no C&W thank you!

Mine:

1) Foo Fighters.
2) Audioslave.
3) White Stripes.
4) Soundgarden.
5) Linkin Park.
6) Stone Roses.

Modern day rock music. It, well...., ROCKS!

I also don't mind the occaisional bit of Jazz and old rock like Led Zeppellin. Generally not in the Vette, though...

Blimey, that's a tricky one!
Hasan i Sahba (original Studio version), or maybe
Levitation (from Stonehenge festival), or maybe
Psi Power (from Stonehenge)
All by Hawkwind (remember them? Excellent gig last Xmas, best gig I've seen in years - & why was Lena Lovich doing synth impressions on stage? That was just plain weird!). Motorway City (most versions) would be a safer track to drive to, there'd be less inclination to stuff yourself into the scenery at high speed! Or maybe something by the Levellers? The Hamsters? ZZ top? Dreadzone? Budgie? Oh, I don't know! Just stick some Monza "mufflers" on the back & you won't need no steenking muzak
