Looking at doing a track day at Elvington with my scoob, and the first track day i will have done with the car. There seems to be a view that Elvington is tough on tyres so would it be worth it getting some wheels and tyres for this, just how much can i expect it to take out of my road tyres?

depends on how much tread you've got left and how soft the tyres are, but I've driven there and back with a trackday in between, probably could have got another one in on them before they were kaput. (this was in summer and it was pretty hot).

..... just make sure you don't follow the car in front too closely unless you have armaguard to protect the front. If your car needs sandblasting it shouldn't be a problem!!weeping

Depends a lot on how you drive - Elvingon is quite abrasive

If it's your first trackday you're likely to scrub the outer edges of the fronts, specially in a 4wd understeery car wink

Try to be smooth and not too fast into corners & you should be OK. New road tyres will wear much more than part worn.

P6000's are good at Elvington as they don't ever wear out smile
