Just agreed to buy a lovely condition YZF 750SP Yamaha. It will see some action at track days and at VJMC events.

It looks just like this:

Love the boost yam! Thats my all time favourite racing bike. I remember being at knockhill with my Dad when i was about 6 or 7 and it was Niall Mackenzie and Steve Hislop on them!

I am getting it from a really good friend who lurks on here now & then. His current stable has:

Desmoseidici
OW-02 [R7] race bike on slicks
OW-02 [R7] road bike [700 miles only]
OW-01 2000 miles original Uk bike

The lucky boy

Ah Fergus he never ever ponces about. He has just done 5 days at Jerez on his OW-02 race bike on slicks, so at least his toys see regular proper use. No garage queens at his house.

Put a GSXR engine in it, and it would be fast enough too...

Clearly I am, Mr Chiplad!

Just remind me the make of bike whipping arse in BSB and WSB at the moment. In fact, remind me of any MVs in the line up????

Oooh handbags from Rupert Nords. One swallow does not a summer make old boy. I am glad that Suzuki have a bike capable of running at the front as it is boring to see one marque dominate. That certainly must have been the case in the 1960' & 70's when MV won 37 World Championships. Just remind me how many World Championships at GP level Suzuki have won, oh that'll be a handfull then.

125cc in 60's

Schwantz

Roberts jr

Sheene x 2

WSB = 1 to date

So not a lot then.
