964 brakes- will these fit?
Discussion
The 968CS didn't come with big red calipers, even with the Mo30 pack, IIRC.
However, if they are genuine 'big reds' then yes they will be a marked improvement, assuming they are used in conjunction with the correct pads/discs/fluid/lines and that the master cylinder and ABS all work fine with them. They should fit within a 17 inch wheel, but they may have different mounting requirements. You may need different hubs at 500 GBP each... I'd get an expert to advise, and that means finding out exactly what you are trying to fit.
Calipers are relatively cheap - brand new GT3 six pots are only 200-300 GBP each. It is the rest of the system, discs etc. that can make the exercise pricey.
I'd take a look at AP's big brake packages, which include everything and bolt straight on, for about 1500 GBP. Ask BG Developments or another AP dealer for details.
Or ask ninemeister or equivalent to quote for proper installation using the bits. It may not be much cheaper at the end of the day.

You will probably need to get different mounting adapter plates made for the hubs, but in theory they should go on. New discs and pads needed as well. I'd give a decent specialist the calipers and ask for an estimate. The calipers may need a refurb as well as the RS2 is no spring chicken and they may never have had the pistons and seals done. Refurb is about 75 GBP a caliper as a ballpark, should it need it.
