I also once knew a girl who didn't know what broccoli was!
I like to think I know a little bit about food but I sometimes get thrown a wild card from my work resturant who like to experiment and have to google what something is. Sometimes simple things like calzone, who knew a folded pizza existed, bit like an italian cornish pasty, sometime more obscure. Anyway can you name what this is without looking at the picture poperties.

I thought plum, the leaves seem like they are Prunus (geek mode ) - I was told once that plums are regarded as an exotic fruit in much of SE Asia though, so if it is I'm guessing they're not proper plums like we get here.
Here's one of my faves for visual weirdness and eating too, a sort of unlikely cartoon fruit - don't cheat and look at the picture url:

I'd guessed it: "That looks like a ....." without cheating. And it was. Really wierd-looking though. Here's one of my faves for visual weirdness and eating too, a sort of unlikely cartoon fruit - don't cheat and look at the picture url:

Easy one, Cashew. My first experience of the tree and the roasting of the nut was a revelation as I had no idea previously how the nuts I bought in shops came about. The fruit itself, though edible, tastes horrible. Here's one of my faves for visual weirdness and eating too, a sort of unlikely cartoon fruit - don't cheat and look at the picture url:
