Um buy your beer in Le Mans, won't slow your car down for the journey down then . It will also allow you to fit more clean clothes in the boot too, not that you'll need too many .

There is a large Cafleur(sp?)/supermarket a mile or two on the way back into town from the circuit. Found it easier to fill the boot with clothes tent etc get there, put tent up, then go shopping for the beer.
Not sure, but almost certain you could buy a fridge at the supermarket, it is large. Just ask direction to the supermarket in the camp site. If you are at Houx then there are electrical hook ups so if you want you could buy a proper fridge .
Obviously the above depends on what time you arrive at the circuit, if you are running late you could top the parcel shelf up with on the way past into the circuit.

Or just buy a few bags of frozen peas etc and use them as ice blocks.
Chills the beer nicely.

Also fill the cool box with ice before you leave home and its nice and cold by the time you get there and fill it with beer.

We were still drinking cold beer on Sunday.

Well, our group is going to be rather lacklustre after all... So many drop-outs... So many broken dreams...

I think all we'll be able to muster for the drive down will be:

Caterham 7 (times 2)
VW Corrado G60
Big White hire van
Whatever I buy myself, which hopefully will be a Lotus Esprit V8... Fingers crossed etc...

We'll be joined on Thursday by:
Lotus Europa (the one of Houx Annexe roundabout fame)
Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0
Mazda MX-5 (!!)
TVR Griffith
Lotus Elise
Ford Puma

Which will make things a little more respectable! Look out for the odd Pistonheads sticker! Oh, and the usual flagpole...
