Anyone know a reputable place in the Basingstoke area ?

Some has driven into my car in the company car park then driven off without owning up. The OSF wing and bumper have both been damaged. The wing has a 4" long split in it.

I am somewhat peeved at the moment...

Was checking that as you typed. I don't think so, but I'll have a chat with the security guards on Monday. I'm pretty sure the incident happened on Wednesday but I didn't see the damage until this afternoon as mostly its been dark when I've been driving.

Sorry to hear the bad news Tris. I wonder if any of the regular car park users has blue paint matching yours on their bumper?

I'm sure it won't be too bad to fix, it always looks worse than it is.

Bad news mate.

There was a place in Reading that repaired/resprayed bike bodywork for me after I high sided it a few years back. They were really good, shame I can't remember the name !!!

Tris - you can ignore the first part of my recent email - all is clear now. What a bummer - people are such pratts and clearly have little conscience. I hope you can get it repaired easily.

Tris sorry to hear of your misfortune, take a look at this thread,
http://corvettechat.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?t=83963&f=127&h=0

For paint ive got a couple of places i would use but then repairing a fibreglass split is a different matter, there are Vette bodywork specialists in the CCCUK mag.

BTW ,i would keep an eye open for a vehicle with corrosponding damage from your parking area, but then youve probably thought of that.

Mechspray in Kent did an excellent job after a woman in a Merc did the same to Velveteen a few years ago, I was in the car at the time so they couldn't exactly do a runner.

Sorry to hear about the damage I know how F**ked off I would be if someone did the same to me, I would check the car park to see if you can see any Electron Blue on another car.

Mechspray are just down the road to me. There are also a couple of other places near me as well that often have Ferraris and similar in for repair.

If you want me to get some phone numbers for you then let me know but there must be places nearer to you.

For a rough idea of distance we are about 80 miles from Cliff's place

Thanks guys, I phoned Ewelme and it looks like its going to cost me £700-£1000 to have it fixed. Obhviously I'd have to take it to them for a full quote. I've looked in the Lotus and TVR forums on PH and found another couple of leads which I may look into next week. I know Mech Spray advertise in the club mag but they might be a bit far for me to go.

It looks like my bumper was pushed in and back out rather than being scraped so I'm not sure that any paint came off to be deposited on any other vehicle. I'll be scrutinising other cars in the car park tomorrow morning but I'm not expecting to find the culprit easily.

You can bet that they had the T-cut out at the weekend to try and hide any trace
