Guys,

Just wondered if you'd had any thoughts re some sort of 'second hand' for sale table @ Pistonfest?

Where people could bring stuff, give a price and leave for sale - could be 'managed' by a Pistonfest staffer with a % retained (for Ted / charity??).

Not thought about it too much more but I know I'd have some stuff here (e.g. TVR carpets, R/C bits etc).

Wonder what other people's thoughts might be?

Cheers

Ian

Good idea!

I have a Tuscan cover that I could sell! (Not a blatant sale Ted!)

I would be happy to contribut part of the sale to PH or a charity...

Well done TVRForever!

Nice idea.......

Perhaps one solution to this could be to use all the tables inside the marquee on the Sunday morning for this? Last year, the highest attended period was between 11am-3pm on the Sunday, so if we were to start it at 10am & close the "market" at midday, it would enable all the attendees to:
a)view all the items, negotiate & complete all the potential sales
b)grab a hearty Sunday lunch
c)have a slurp or two
d)watch the scrapheap challenge, just 100 yards or so from the marquee
e) return to watch the French GP, or catch up with the drag racing, & also visit the trade exhibition stands.
f) check out some cool music from Stryngs.

By doing it that way, it would have a defined time period for all, gain the maximum number of attendees, and enable all sellers to control their individual sales.

To gather some cash for the charity, we could wonder round the tables, and collect a minimal fee from all sellers, and pass it in to the charity fund...........

any comments/ suggestions ???????

Not sure if I could help with any format details, but I would certainly visit with a view to purchase. Books are always a good seller. I have some HT parts I would 'donate' to a needy concern.

I'm fairly certain I've got some odd bits and pieces for kit cars - off the top of my head

some new bonnet toggles...some poppers and a punch

will have to have a rummage in my tool boxes
