BTW - as much as I want to hate them - great British success story should not be knocked too much.

But seriously, deep frying an entire potato? Surely not?

i once worked for spoons and no, they're not deep fried. although that would probably catch on with many of their locals. if I were forced to eat there I'd stick to steak & salad, two of very few items that aren't microwaved

Not really a random question, is it? Unless you wrote out several and picked this one out of a hat.

Exactly!!!

Now we need someone to experiment here, and obviously record a vid of the result.

I would possibly suggest doing this outside though, in a field, far far FAR away from civilisation smile

I had a steak once, asked for it medium rare... was still moo'ing when it came out. Literally cold throughout.

We have a Sizzlin Steakhouse near our house, the food is way better than Wetherspoons and the drinks are very reasonable.

They do a 16oz steak for about £7.50.

Pint of wifebeater and a glass of Hardy's for less than a fiver.
