I have amassed some swords over the years and the time has come to sell them. I’m having great trouble trying to find somewhere to advertise them.
Ebay, Amazon and Gumtree don’t allow it and with no offence at all towards PH, the classified misc’ section isn’t really a buzzing market place. (No idea if they allow it either)

If anyone knows of a website or any other place where I could advertise, I would be grateful.

I’ve got 8 to get rid of so its quite a problem.

Possibly take them into an auction house if they're of any historical value? I'm sure there must be specialist auctions going on for collectors of weaponry.

I have one military sword. The others are replica fantasy, samurai and ye olde english arthirian ones.
(i was 15 at the time i started collecting them and have to admit, I was, and still am to a point, a fantasy genre geek.)

I did think I could advertise on the board in Asda but I really wouldnt want to. There might be a rise in the number of stabbings in my area.

I'd be interested to know what you end up doing - I have an Arabic ceremonial sword that i "inherited" from a boss many years ago, and have no clue how to get shot of it...

Hand them in to your local Police station and forget you ever had them.

But id like to extract thier monetary value, which is a fair amount... and they arent illegal.

Im starting to think i should find out when the next Lord of the rings/Zelda etc. conventions are and try and flog them there.

Your local auction house I'd have thought would be the first port of call?
