Really please with Northumbria Police.
We had a scrap van dumped at the entrance to our work (Business Park type place). It was advertising a scrap yard and hadn't been taxed for 7 years. There was no registered keeper.
Called the cops but the really helpful copper told me as it was not on the road - but on the pavement, there was little he could do. However, he called the mobile number on the van - left a voicemail - and gave me the number of a special agency to call.
One call to them (they are run by the police) and it was sorted. Sticker on the van within the hour informing the owner it was going to be shifted. 24 hours later - to the minute - it was uplifted.
Courtessy call from the cops to make sure we were happy.
All sorted without fuss with helpful people all along the way.
Great service and worth a mention as there is so much negative stuff about the BIB on here.
