Can I merge two itunes libraries?

I have two lots of playlists etc as had itunes running on seperate pcs. I have not ported both onto the same external drive. I would like to access both or merge them for simplicity.

Your Library is a single entity, and the repository for all your songs - playlists can be as many as you fancy, choosing songs from within the Library.
Now that that's dealt with, what exactly are you looking to do - combine two Libraries or bring a Playlist from one PC, onto the other?
If the latter, are the same songs on the first PC? If not, then you'll need to set up the two iTunes for Sharing, then you can access the other's Library and Playlists.
