An evening session at the popular Indy circuit with a 102db noise limit, at one of the UK's premier circuits in partnership with EasyTrack. The event starts with the gates being open at 15:30 and track time starting at 17:30 until 20:00 (or light fail).

Cost for the evening is only £105 per car (TVR's only), a substantial saving over usual Brands prices. Passengers (must be 17 or over) and second drivers (maximum one extra driver per car) an additional £10. Helmet hire is available if required, tuition for first timers is free (£20 otherwise if required) and must be booked in advance. Non TVRCC members are welcome to attend with a charge of £5 for day membership.
Book via the club office on 01952 822126, all required instructions and forms will be sent after booking.

* Gates open: 15:30, signing on from 16:00, briefing at 17:00, session starts at 17:30, ends at 20:00 or when the light fails if slightly earlier

* Paperwork required on the day - completed TVRCC and circuit indemnity forms and a full, unrestricted road driving licence (original documents only please, no copies)

* Your car in full track worthy condition and within the 102db noise limit (no exceptions - track day silencers may be available to borrow, please ask)

* A helmet conforming to the current standards - email for details if you are unsure, helmets will be available to hire also

* Remember - arms and legs must be covered at all times when on the circuit

If you have any questions at all, email me on trackdays@tvrcc.com. I hope to see you there!

Also already booked in, along with a few intermopers I am affraid.

A Jag (sorry I seem to have left my wallet at home)XK8, A Merc CL55AMG and a BMW M3.

So we shuld have a BMW stuck to everyone's back bumper a Jag wafting around gently and a Merc in the Gravel.

Cool.

If it's the same CL55 there was on the last TVR day at brands, then we can as well follow him around the M25 for the evening winklaugh

It's a TVRCC exclusive date. We may allow non-TVR's on but I'm still in discussions about that. Drop me a PM if you have anything specific you were thinking of taking.

Out of interest chaps, how many of you are planning to use bolt-on silencers and on what cars? Some day I'll come back to TVR ownership and it'd be good to know how difficult it's going to be to get on track. Even my S3 (possibly an aftermarket exhaust, but nothing extreme) came in at over 100dB on some of the tests (although ironically high 90s on others, but the marshalls decision and all that...)

Chris, I use the ACT silencers, but I got Austec to modify my tails so that they slide off and the silencers slide back on. They no longer look like wheelbarrow handles hehe

Just about to go collect the car and head off to Brands driving

We have a really simple add on for the wedge, it is just a couple of bits of concentric tube that acts as a restrictor when stuffed with wire wool. It drops the wedge from 103db to 97-98db, at least until the wire wool blows out. Did not need it this evening as the marshall doing the testing was pretty lenient so we got away with 1db over.

That was about the only good thing about the evening, we spent more time queuing to get out onto the track than we did on it. Never had that problem before, there did seem to be a lot of people in the briefing so maybe it was just the number of drivers. At least everyone was courteous on track, one of the M3s had a cracking exhaust note too.

And so the Wobbly Merc has a blow out on the pit straight, spinning merrily down the road, shedding a tyre and bringing an end to the evening hehe
