I know it's not in the same league, but anyone tried out a Crossfire and
got any constructive comments?


Waiting to test one as a possible second car and gathering information during the enforced wait.

Had a Crossfire on order nearly two years ago loved the idea.

But by the time it hit production it lost its funky interior, supercharger and sexy headlights..result I cancelled.

be advise that a supercharged version will be out by Christmas and the convertable next year.

Any idea what the figures are stated with a Supercharger? That may make me wait...

A local dealer let me use a Crossfire for a couple of hours in return for parking my GTS in their showroom during their promotion of the Crossfire.
My feedback would be very light clutch, no real feedback through the steering, build pretty good, rear view probably as bad as the Lambo Countach, quite "perky" but not "Pwaow!".
There is very strong competition in this price bracket, I believe it will struggle.

Isn't it a Mercedes Benz SLK underneath...? If so, expect it to drive like all Mercs. If they were £20k they'd sell a load but at £27k or whatever they are they are going to have some serious competition from cars that are well specced / drive as well as they look / hold their money much better (pick and choose as appropriate).

Currently a 3.2-litre, V6 engine, but a supercharged 3.2-liter V-6
engine putting out 330 bhp is in production for late 2004 / early 2005 release.

350z coming out well in roadtests, also loads of tuning bits coming on the market, especially in the US, thats usually a good sign. Relatively good value, looks tough, especially with big wheels. Most of all I'd like a black one with big arch filling wheels and sitting a little lower. But I'd probably settle for a boring battleship grey colour for ease of cleaning Some day one will be mine

And next year once demand has been satisfied, they will be better value both new and used, low mileage used examples are currently advertised at new prices
