I'm doing Bedford on the 26th July with Circuit-days.co.uk , and I was considering getting some tuition. I'd rather not spend a fortune on tuition on the day, ie I'd like to keep it below £100 if possible. What would be the best way to go about this, ie use their own drivers and pay the £25/20mins or see if I could get better tuition from someone else? All advice is much appreciated.

PS, I'm not a trackday virgin, although I've never had tuition. I've done Oulton Park twice, and I've done approx 25 incident free laps of the ring.

Be easiest to book several sessions with one of the instructors on the day.

The better idea, if you could fix it, would be to book someone all day to share with one or two others - maybe you could find out who else is going from here and suggest this idea to them?

If you haven't been to Bedford before you'll spend the morning just getting a good feel for the circuit as there's quite a lot of it so unless you are willing to pay for an instructor for the full day (usually at least £200) then I'd say get one of the CD guys in with you towards the end of the morning and that will set you up well for the afternoon. CD don't charge for one instruction session so you can't go wrong with this really.

I'll be there in this

or this

so if you want a ride round to get an idea of lines feel free to come and ask beer

Thanks for the offer Steve, I'll probably take you up on it!

I'll contact CD now to see if I have to book tuition...

No worries, if you post up on here again nearer to the day to remind me then I won't be as likely to give you a blank look when you come up and say hello biggrin
