How bloody annoying is it sitting in Monday morning traffic knowing on any other day I wouldn't wait once. It cost me a good 10 mins in a 30 min journey. Still at least I can carry my broken mower to the repair guy in the car biggrin

I love my bike cool

That's all...

10 mins isn’t bad I’d get 30 mins minimum tagged onto my journey if I used the car-you including getting your kit on and off in that? Plus more time added on as due to security if you travel in alone you have to use a park and ride scheme to get into the site.

Bikes rule.

yes it's 30mins bike vs 70mins car + £8 congestion charge + £££££££parking

Bike saves me zero time by the time I've put the gear on/off but it does mean i get to work not ready to kill & £7 better off.

Same here, sometimes bike even takes longer than the car once I start taking the more interesting route, or doing laps of the one way system when its quiet

my car journey to work takes 15mins, i can do it in less than 10 on the bike, but it takes me an extra 10 the get the bike out and ready to go, so its even, but bike wins by far, esp when i pass my work collegues who get a head start, there all old fkers at my place so i get my ear chewed off the next day by them all saying im going to die etc, blah blah blah!!! smile

I wouldn't even consider a car to get into central london cos thats just idiotic, my true comparisons are in terms of public transport which I've no problem with every now and again where booze is involved post work.
20mins door to door on the bike - (free secure parking under my office for powered and non powered two wheel transport only - my company likes cyclists and motorcyclists) vs 40mins min on tube (includes about 15mins walking too).
Car would be much much more time than public transport, then I'd have to pay £8 CC plus £££ parking = plainly stupid.
