Does anyone take responsibility for anything these days? I had to laugh a little when I read about this story in the local rag:

Andy Smith, of Layton, said he had to dive for cover after he claimed the blowers of the automatic car wash at Arc Valeting and Car Wash, on Preston New Road, failed to lift up and cut straight through his Jaguar S-type.

a spokesman for Arc said: ["It did happen here but it wasn't our fault."
So whose fault is it then exactly? Surely they have a duty to ensure their equipment is of working order?

Then there's the 'courtesy car' they loaned him only to say they wanted it back and reported it as stolen!

'A BLACKPOOL man told how he feared he would be killed when part of a car wash smashed through his vehicle window.'

The 45-year-old said: "I have never feared for my life before, but at that moment I thought I would be decapitated.

"They were coming straight for the middle of the windscreen, and all I could do was dive as far down into the passenger seat as I could – I thought I was waiting for death."

What a fking pansy. And they have the audacity to call Southerners poofs. biggrin

You do realise that's all a charade for the inevitable compensation claim?

Of course, but there was a time when traditional Northern pride would have prevented a grown man from publicly pissing himself about a hair dryer. biggrin

This is nothing - wait for the next few weeks of "I have recurring nightmares of being chased by hairdryers" and "Mentally scarred for life - after near death experience in a car wash" hehe
