I purchased an APROO Safari last year. I tend to wear it of an evening and at weekends.
Be aware, they are BIG pieces (IIRC 44.5mm diameter / 14.2mm thick) The Rolex stainless sub w/ cyclops i use for everyday feels like a slimline in comparison (40mm case x 12mm).
You're right about the lack of supply, but this in turn holds up resale values nicely.
IMHO you should aim for 20% discount if you "know" someone that can supply away from the ADs.
I had a brief look at the Big Bangs but couldn't get along with the misaligned screws on the case, along with the JLC Master Compressors, but in the end lumped for the AP, my decision was based on build quality, comfort and rareity.
One thing to note on the APs is the bezel is very susceptible to any knocks and scratches and you do need to take care. The straps also need a good few weeks of wear to mould to the users wrists.
Good luck on your searching.

^^^ agree with everything you say there Cinque.
I sold my Hublot Big Bang Black Magic 44mm to buy an AP ROO Panda and absolutely love it.
Was a toss up between the Volcano and the Navy but as soon as I saw the Panda (it was released the week I bought mine) I knew it was the one I wanted. I have it on the Shaq hornback strap and the red stitching matches the face perfectly.
Along with you I have a few scratches on it but that is to be expected with day-to-day use and they do buff out very well when it goes in for a service.
One thing to bear in mind is that AP, along with all the other major Swiss houses, put their list prices up last week so unfortunately expect to pay a bit more.
Any more questions and shoot them over.
