Hi guys,

I am flying into LAX in September for a 2 week touring holiday and I'd like to rent a Mustang Convertible. I am having trouble deciding which rental company would be best to rent from.

At the moment I think its a choice between Hertz and Thrifty.

Are any of these guys likely to have any 2011 Mustangs yet?

Which would you rent from, and why? Do Hertz have any Sebrings - I notice Thrifty do...

Cheers!

I've used Hertz a few times in LA, Vegas and Phoenix. The cars were always very new. Got a mustang a couple of times, although if I were you I would pump a bit of extra cash and get the Corvette wink glad I did

Every time I ask this question people tell me to get a Corvette instead, I dont know about you but whilst 400 quid for a Mustang for 2 weeks is good value there is no way I'm going to pay the £1,300 Hertz want for the Corevette, plus the excess mileage allowance laugh

Oh, didn't realize it was for 2 weeks. Yeah bit excessive, I do however have a hertz discount code you could use.

Hertz will be the best bet. Have used Avis before as well for a Mustang.

Don't book it direct though. Use someone like carhireagency.com or (I think) carhire 3000. It will be cheaper.

Steve,

Just tried it on the website, and to my eyes it didn't seem to discount anything at all, but I have sent it to you via email.
