IT Systems Build Engineer

Hi,

I am looking for a Systems Engineer to work for our UK Team in our Peterborough Office. The job is multi faceted and involves some long hours and shift work. The role of the Engineer is to help build and deploy our application as well as assisting the team in the management and configuration of all UK based non Production Servers. The role will include the upkeep of Windows 2003 Servers and the deployment of hot fixes as well as troubleshooting environmental problems and liaising with Engineering and QA teams in the US and UK. The candidate will have a keen attitude to learn new skills and work as part of a team that spans UK/US and India.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Excellent OS knowledge (Windows 2003, 2008)
Good IIS 6 + 7 knowledge
Excellent Batch scripting skills.
Good Server and nTier troubleshooting skills.
Good understanding of Networking (TCP/IP and DNS)
Good MSMQ knowledge and understanding of queuing concepts.
Good XML knowledge and associated configuration knowledge.
Reasonable SQL Server 2005 knowledge.
Reasonable SQL Server 2008 knowledge.
Some knowledge of SQL Scripting would be beneficial
SQL Cluster configuration knowledge would be beneficial.
Some C++ and C# code compilation knowledge would be useful but not essential as training will be given.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Salary range is 35 to 37K per annum 28 days paid holiday including an excellent pension, healthcare and bonus package.
