In the fridge right now I have 2 unsmoked gammon joints, 3 racks of pork ribs, 2 pork shoulder joints, over 1lb of chicken wings, 1lb of chicken thighs, 24 sausages, 2 packs of cooked ham, 2 packs of sliced garlic sausage, 3 packs of bacon and a pack of smoked salmon.

Why? because I bought a load of stuff, thinking I had space in the freezer. I do not have ANY space in the freezer.

D'oh. Might be a good time for me to try the Atkins diet...rolleyes

Rent a bit of your neighbour's freezer - or try some old-fashioned food preservation techniques such as pickling and salting.

Well it worked for Nelson!

Hehe. Well, you can dream. It's MINE all MINE I tell you!!!

I think it'll last me for a few weeks. The gammon is vac packed and the use by date is at the end of July/early Aug. Same goes for the cooked ham, garlic sausage and the bacon. The chicken and sausages I'll cook in the oven at the weekend and they will be good for cold snacks/sarnies for a week or two. And I'll find space for one of the pork shoulders in the freezer by throwing out some frozen veggies!

So that leaves a pork shoulder and 3 (small) racks of ribs. Smokin' time again! Not tried pork shoulder on the Weber before, so that will be fun. If the weather is ok!

Oh and the smoked salmon... I bought the two gammon joints but there was a "3 for £10" offer - and as I didn't want another gammon, I got the smoked salmon without really thinking... but I have no idea what I'm gonna do with it! Ideas welcome...

Come one even I could not eat that lot.
