As most of you guessed you would here more about this car. I bought and yes it was a shock to see it was RHD. It took a couple of hours before i even noticed.

Anyone have any advice on finding the parts. All i know is somewhere in Australia.

I'd like to keep it RHD as i'm lead to beleive it was a £30k premium ???

Any help , advice or history of the car would be great .

Cheers

here's an old post from last year, you got here quicker than I thought ! it just so happens there are a pair of seats for sale, the seller also has seatbelts, carpets etc on the UK website which you might find useful... if you search back through this forum you will see more threads on the right hand driver RT. One thing your about to find out viper parts are none existant in the UK, and unbelievable priced. A rear wheel from Chrylser UK £2000, a sill £3500 plus a 5 week wait while they bring them over. Things are slightly better in USA, I reckon your about to come partsrack.com and Tators Dodge favourite customer. Although rare in right hand form, you'll find most on here prefer original LH, the owner replaced this yellow RT with another RH car, GTS though. Good Luck

Hi Guy's!
Our company Viperformance in Australia converted this vehicle to R/H/D right hand drive we were contracted by Daimler Chrysler in Australia to convert 25 Dodge Vipers, one of which was the last RT/10 to be built by the Factory, sorry it's already converted and has a new home in New Zealand. The conversion cost is approx $35,000 AUS. There is no kit supplied to us, We tooled up for these vehicles. We also have tooled up for 92-96 models 97 model and 98-2002. The refinishing program as it is called by Daimler Chrysler was 3 years in the making. We had engineers from Detroits Viper line inspect our conversions and also Daimler Chryslers independent engineers in Australia before we got the Blessing to go ahead. This is the first factory backed program outside of America the first in the world authorised by Daimler Chrysler. For more information check out web site Media Release at www.chryslerviper.com.au. We have been converting Dodge Vipers in Australia for the past 7 years. Two of our RT/10'S have had their tow boxes signed by Bob Hubbach. We offer after sales service , new and used parts. We also sell apparell and Viper merchandise. If you want any further information please feel free to contact us.

Cheers

Thanks, for the info . Its a good starting point.

The car actually seems to have escaped any damage to the engine bay or anything rear of the rear bulkhead. So not as bad as i was expecting .

Thanks

As Neil said think you are going to become parts rack & tators dodge's best friend.....
Good luck it will be worth the hard work..

Bloody hell, RHD!
Thats gonna be worth a fair bit extra.

In Australia I think they are not allowed LHD. I noticed loads of old yank cars (ie mustangs etc) in RHD when I lived there.

I think the mustang was also made in Australia though.

can you get in contact again, the email they sent got bounced back, some interesting reading here

I was wondering if you can help me please. I received an email this morning from a gent by the name of Paul Clough who says he has bought the burn't yellow rt/10 from an insurance company. He has asked to purchase the conversion parts to repair this car but when trying to answer all emails are returned. Do you know him? I would like to make contact with him to let him know that we are able to assist with both conversion parts and also any other burnt parts required as we do stock a variety of excellent used parts. I have his email address as paulclough@murryfields.fsnet.co.uk. I do not want him to think I am ignoring his request. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks for the contact info . I'll give them a call tonight.

The write up has some good info in it but i'll be amazed if the "fire proof wiring harness" passed this test !! That would be lucky.

You asked earlier if the car was to be repaired and sold. If i can source the parts and repair it within my budget then i will be keeping it. I'd only consider selling it before i start the repair. As you may be thinking i'm not actually in the salvage trade - A mate in the motor salvage trade bought the car on my behalf.

I've received several e-mails from various members offering advice and information, its been a great help so far . Thanks.
