Was just checking the results for yesterday and the payout amounts have confused me somewhat:

The give a euro, sterling and dollar amount, thus:

Match 5 and 2 Stars: €5,000,000 £12,280,500 $6,399,500 3

(3 is the number of winners)

Anyone got a clue what it means or are they just mistaken? The dollar amount is correctly displayed to equal €5m but the sterling should be £4,092,359.12 or thereabouts....

By my calculations the sterling amount is the total prize money available for those winning numbers. If you divide the £12million by 3 and then convert at today's conversion rates it pretty much equals the other two figures.

Strange why they show it this way.

perhaps that was the mistake, they showed the total prize in sterling.

Thanks.
