I nearly leapt off the bike to hug you biggrin

I went out for a good run on the bike, right in the mood full of confidence.

All goes well up a road I know as well as my bedroom, going probably as quick as I have ever rode the road before. Come up a straight, sweeping corner, thinking "right this straightens out to a long straight I can keep the throttle pinned." Doing the old hug the tank to eek out every last (unite of speed, but not mph) on this corner. Since this is an NC30 it's only 135ish at the most.

Flash, flash, flash goes the white van man. The brakes go on and am doing 60 when I pass a T5 sitting at the side of the road. He must have heard me coming thinking "easy pickings". Turned around just to catch the van up and give him a thumbs up since he just saved my licence.

Because of where the car was I wouldn't have seen it until I was literally next to it doing 130ish lol.

Came home after that, just didn't have the enthusiasm as before, more full of relief.

Stuff like this makes me think I really don't need a quicker bike biggrin

Cheers

obviously, 130 mph would be punishable by death - on the spot

km/h is still too much, make it yards per hour.

Very wise move come onto a motoring forum, which the cops frequent and admit to 130 mph, lets just check the bike O no its not got a KPH clock.

Its people like you and other bike riders that get the sensible ones a bad name, bet your number plates a dymo label.

BTW post some pics of your bike from the back quick visit from the Traffic Police to some residents and bye bye license.

Darwin award confimation received.

Please don't forget to include 200 Quids for local 'fines/bribes' to make the problem go away.

lol

To be fair if you saw the road you wouldn't be as outraged at the speed that I exaggerate by a factor of 3 to look cool. It is straight with a corner that you can see through, the police car was behind a bush, and was the only reason I couldn't see it.

My driving is hardly as bad as the M5 guy, this was out on a wide open country road, not the local 30 zone. Coupled with the fact I could stop in the distance I could see.
