Fully kitted up

Just been to Guildford to get my leathers back from being altered
Quite pricy £160 but apparently the armour in my particular leathers is a bit of a pain, I had the thighs and the claves shortened and taken in and the leather behind the knee replaced with stretchy stuff
First impressions excellent (only done 20 miles though) huge improvement
The company is "nine lives" 01483 454441 reccomended

Beware that to acheive an off the peg look (i.e. loads of overlaid colurs, stripes, etc) on a custom suit can get very expensive very quickly. This is why most custom suits often appear quite plain in their design! Feel the differnce in weight and you can see that custom suits often offer superior protection. Weight isn't obviously the only factor here though!

Debbie @ Leather workshop (google it) will alter an off the peg suit to fit like a custom suit. Highly recommended. She does most of the work for the magazine guys and also for a lot of national and intl. racers!
Is she the lady thats works out of Frontiers on a Saturday? If so she quoted to alter my leathers for £80. Which was to put a different collar on and shorten the cuff lengh i didnt think was too bad? I have heard nine lives are a little on the expensive side, shame as i live in Guildford.
