512BBi v. Esprit

Have owned an Esprit now for about 1 year (a 93.5). Love the car, possible to use it as a semi-daily although I have other transportation obviously.

Have a large bonus coming my way, enough to cover a deal on an 83 512 BBi. I of course understand the running costs on the 512 BBi will be significantly higher than the Esprit. Can someone, preferably a 512 BBi owner, give me some idea of what I'm looking at? Esprit cost about $1500 this year.

Also, driving experience. I would of course drive the 512 BBi less, but would still I would plan on driving it to work 1-2 a week. Any owners out there? Let me know what you think.
