iphone tomtom mount

I have the TomTom car kit for my 3GS. Since replaced with iPhone 4 - it fits the cradle but doesn't charge or work as hands-free kit. Is there a fix or do I have to buy another at £100?
Click - the one currently in the store is compatible with 3 & 4.

Tom Tom website does a retrofit piece that enables the 4 to work in the same cradle.

You'll need your serial number off the car kit though - its free and they send it to your home address
