British Airways - safe to use, or potential strike problems?

As the title really. I'm looking to fly out to Canada for the New Year. On looking around BA seem pretty good, but I am bit wary about booking with them after all the problems earlier in the year. I've noticed that it has all gone quiet in the news recently, so does this mean it is safe to use them or am I better steering clear?

It is now possible to take travel insurance which would protect you if BA strikes, as there is no action pending.

Is it safe to use BA? I've taken 109 flights in 3 years, 82 involving LHR - only 4 of which were on BA. I voted with my feet years ago!
