Is there a website where you can plug in the specs of a bike and get a list of suggestions? (I mean other than asking here haha)
I'm getting very keen to start shopping for the next bike, and narrowing down the choices.
I've made up my mind it will be a Sports bike of some sort, but not too racy if you know what I mean... I'd prefer some comfort, maybe more torque than all power at 18,000rpm (been there I used to race Mazda rotaries )
I was thinking 650-750cc but a couple of people have told me I will want a Litre bike. Not looking to go stupid fast, but good handling, easy, comfy, fun...
I haven't yet ridden a lot of bikes, mainly my Hyo 250 Comet, Densal's '88YamahaFZX750 and recently my mate's new Harley RockerC (not my thing though)
Okay, any ideas?
Since I posted this on Perth Street Bikes a week ago I have tested a Suzuki SV1000S which seems to be the sort of thingg I'm thinking of...

I don’t know of any web site that gives you the options and then recommends some bike to try. Given your requirements, I would suggest there are a HUGE number of bikes that could fit the bill so I’m not sure if a ‘selection web site’ would be the best way forward.
You can always ask on any forum (here included) and be swamped with the ‘buy the bike I have/used to have’ responses. Alternatively, you can get one of the magazines and go through the specs of what is on the market and see if you can make a short list.
Either way, the best approach is probably to book yourself a large number of different test rides of loads of different bikes to see what works for you. Only then will you really know that you have the bike you want.
PS If you do want something sub 1 litre, with more torque than top end power, that’s comfortable, handles reasonably well, is fun and is a little on the sporty side then you may want to try either the BMW F800 or the Yamaha Fazer 8.
