I'm looking to go back the gym.
Working crazy houred shifts has kind of stopped me from being committed also with other commitments mixed in.
The gym group being open 24 hours a day would suit me down to the ground.
Who goes there and what do they think of the gyms they offer and as a company on the whole?
I see they don't do 12 month contracts which is great.
They charge a £20 joining fee? In the past i've only been to bodybuilding gyms which haven't charged a joining fee.
Has the gymgroup ever waivered a joining fee if there's a meantion that I've been to another couple gyms that I might join?
Thanks in advance.

I go to the one in liverpool. it's a simple no thrills attached gym, in ours a lot of the free weights have lost their numbers which can be a bit annoying and its always packed until about 8:30 at night. But for £15 a month who cares, it costs me about £60p per session. With it being so popular they do often refurbs. HTH

It's the Liverpool one I'd be joining. I live 5 minutes away.
When you joined did you do it via the net or do they have a reception there?
I might call down today.

I did it over the net, you can opt in and out of an induction.

Business wise, during the days good, also night time.

Out of interest where abouts do you live?

Just along the Dock Road close to Brunswick station, so either a 5 minute train ride then a walk from central or drive down and park near the houses opposite L1.
Didn't get chance to go down today.
My main hours I would be going would be either 01:00, 04:00 or early mornings such as 10:00.
I'm guessing the gym would be empty then haha
What do the dumbells go upto? 25-30kg dumbells are adequate.

Yer somewhere along Duke Street would be my best bet or opposite the Paradise Street car park.
I've been on the gymgroups website and they have a partnership with one of the carparks making it £1 an hour to use the car park but that would just bump it up to a usual gym membership price then
Thanks for the information! I'm going to try and call in there one day this week if I get a chance.

Joined a couple days ago. Been going early hours past couple of nights and I have to say I'm really impressed with the Liverpool gym.
Gyms i've been to in the past feel so cramped where as this gym has quite a lot of space.
£15.99 a month not on a contract deal is a bargain if your not fussed about sauna/jacuzzi/swimming pool.
Haven't been peak hours and hopefully won't have to so can't comment on the volumes of people who go at them times.

I go to the Liverpool gym (when I'm not injured). Normally get there around 6am as there is hardly anyone around. If you go at 5pm, good luck as it's very busy. Go at 6pm and it's much better. If you go on the website you can actually see the gym activity over 24 hours. This way you can see where the peak times are and work around it.

It's an excellent gym for the cost though and it's well maintained.

What the hell is that blue spinning thing by the side of your gym, looked like a spaceship as I drove past on Saturday night.
Haha. It's a massive spinning chair ride that starts at the bottom and goes to the very top. You will not find me on it, that's for sure!

Went on that big spinny thing on saturday night. My fear of heights coupled with my fear of being insecurely strapped in made it "Interesting" Dried the sweat from the gym pretty sharpish!
