I am involved in a project ay work which required me to be in the office at 4:15am this morning, to assist the bank kindly put my up in a swanky hotel nearby.

I set my trusty iPhone 4 and drifted off to sleep, until I was rudely woken by hotel reception to say that my colleagues were looking for me and could I call them asap - it was now 5am. It's amazing how quickly you wake up when you're late.

Quick cab ride later and I arrived at the office only one hour late, expecting to be Mr Unpopular for delaying the project (which involves people in three countries). However, it seems that almost half the office were in the same boat, all struck down by the latest iPhone bug.

Do you think I can put a claim in for the cab ride costs to Mr Jobs?

Well you could try. But he'll probably come back with something sensible like "well, if it was that important, why didn't you also book an alarm call in the hotel, you dozy plonker"

My Mrs got caught out by this alarm failure, and unlike the daylight savings change this one got both repeat and single event alarms. Seperate app based alarms seem to be working.
