Ozzie Racing in Jeopardy

Organisers Procar call it a day

Race organisers Procar announced last week that they are ceasing operations.

The company which is responsible for many of Australia's highest profile race series has decided to withdraw from the industry because of the high running costs.

The decision could put the Bathurst 24 hour race in doubt too.

Now hang on. Procar are responsible for the real racing in OZ as well. It's a very very sad state of affairs. The 24 hr, the FIA GT equivalent (Nations Cup) and the production car classes, Formula 3, and of course the Utes. Other than PROCAR series we get V8 Supercar Taxi Racing which is staged, and stage managed.
