Snooper S4 NEO - A bit disappointed....

I bought one of these a few months ago. I find the alerts somewhat sporadic.

Drove across the A66 last weekend, about 6 alerts on the way there but only 3 on the way back. All of the alert points seem to be the greeb bays with 'POLICE ONLY' on them.

A ouple of weeks ago, I did M1/M25/M11 and again it only alerted about half a dozen times. I find it hard to believe that there aren't more sites of potential enforcement.

I've not run the update since I bought it so that might have some benefit. Just wondered what other people's experiences were.

I've had the same experience and am about to make a written complaint and am considering trying to get a full refund. Their database is a farce and I think they could be charged with mis-selling, trade descriptions and all that.

I haven't got one myself (trusty Road Angel) but from what I have read elsewhere:

Snoopers database is a bit flakey with regards downloads. The S4 is better than the very poor S6, but you only get reliably get the full speed camera database if you download the camera database only.

If you choose the cameras and schools etc download, apparently there are issues.

I am not convinced enough to stray yet.

I only ever download the camera locations and do it every few days but still many old scameras on not showing up on their database. I would imagine the database is the same for all models of snooper so expect them all to have problems.
