Purdie at Knockhill

Another new face on the grid

Neil Purdie, the runner up in Channel 5's "Be a Grand Prix Driver" will be joining Steve Howard's PistonHeads supported team for the Knockhill round. Neil last year gained a strong reputation as a front runner in the "Britsports" and Sports 2000 series in an old Tiga SC85 racing car. However he is more famous as the racing JCB driver; who gave Mark Johnston a good run for his money and only just missed out on his racing debut at Monza in the Tyrrell 012 Grand Prix car.

Steve Howard has always been impressed by Neil's attitude to racing and with Gerard Coakley has put the deal together to get Neil out as the only Scottish driver in the Knockhill round of the TVR Tuscan Challenge.

"I am really grateful to Co-Tron and Insane Racing for giving me this chance; Steve has done me a cracking deal and I now have to get the full budget in order to perform well ", said Neil.
