I hope you didn't, Paul - the rolling diameter will be more than a little off ......

cheers, Maurice

Ace, u think that's good, hehehe, look:

Wraysbury tyres in Cherstey (same town as GT1) quoted me £688.70 for the same tyres (SO2s), balancing, VAT etc BUT the rears were 285 x 30

Well, I didn't actually buy the tyres because when I had my geomoetry done I was told that there was plenty of life left in the old boots. However, I'll try there first next time also because they're only 3 miles from home

FYI - I got a quote for £660 valve, fit and balance for Pirelli P.Zero Rosso N4 from Sheen Tires (SW London) 2 x 225/40/18 + 2 X 295/30/18 for a 996TT. I didn't burn as much rubber as expected on my subsequent track day so still a few months away from testing the deal. Says he supplies AFN Porsche in Chiswick, geographically plausible but his haste to claim this was not reassuring. He mentioned the Pirelli sales man had said for2004 Pirelli are only offering P.Zero Rossos in these sizes on N3,4 or 5 - not corroborated this as yet.
